The Connection

The Connection

And we sat there
In silence
With your hand over mine
It stopped
Just for an instance
Unsure
Of a hurt
Which was?
Or could have been?

Fingers tapped
And then they pressed
And caressed
Ever so lightly
That the pain
If indeed
It had been
Went away
And all that remained
Was love
And a connection
